Hello Everyone,
I want to share an incident that happened to me last Friday to raise awareness and prevent it from happening to anyone else. I travelled to Shanghai from Hangzhou and, while waiting for my friend who took a different train, decided to explore the city centre. During my walk, I ended up in a bar where a girl approached me. Initially, I wasn't interested in talking to her, but I decided to interact with locals and have a drink.
I ordered a cocktail, and she ordered champagne. After just five sips, I felt dizzy and became suspicious. I tried to get her to sip from my drink to ensure it wasn't spiked, but she refused. Ten minutes later, the waiter presented a bill for around 10,000 yuan 🤯 and demanded immediate payment. I threatened to call the police, and they said I could leave because the girl would cover the bill. When I attempted to leave, the waiter tried to stop me, but thankfully, I managed to escape to safety.
Conclusion: Never trust strangers or unfamiliar bars, as they may collaborate to scam foreigners. Stay vigilant and prioritize your safety.
Stay safe,
